If you are having trouble with the GS1-E not outputting an envelope, you purchased your GS1-E kit from Thonk before June 2023 please check if you have the order batch code ending 220818 – batch code is shown below in the picture in bottom left corner.
Assuming you’ve checked all your soldering and parts are good then you may have a defective PCB – at least 2 PCBs have been found to have a small manufacturing defect on the lower voice PCB with the trace connecting the +12V power. So far only 2 PCB are known to have this issue. If you do find yours is affected, please let us know!
The pins highlighted here in the yellow bubble should all have continuity – so using a multi-meter check for continuity – or with the module powered on check you get +12V on all 3 of these pins. If there is a break between any of them, add a wire to complete the circuit.
