A new release of firmware for both the TB-Seq Eurorack module and the TB-Valhalla v3 desktop synth.
Whats New in v1.5.4.3
- Pattern ‘Shifting’
- Sequencer start/stop via MIDI enable/disable
- MIDI CC to control accent.
- A few minor display fixes
Pattern shifting allows you to nudge or shift a pattern by one or more steps. So if your pattern was 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 you can shift it to 5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4 either left or right shifting is possible and any number of pattern steps up to the active pattern length can be selected.
You can either just shift the notes, leaving the rests, slides, accents etc in the original step, or you can shift all the step parameters in one go.
Shifting is only available on the device itself, by selecting the Sequence Settings pg2 options.
The other two new MIDI settings are fairly self-explanatory. You may not want the sequencer to start playing the active sequence when it sees a MIDI start signal. You can now enable and disable the MIDI start/stop settings from the MIDI Settings menu on the device, or via the updated v1.5.4 companion Ge0sync Sequence Editor App.
Finally, you can send MIDI CC values to enable and disable accent. By default, CC80 is configured to listen for accent triggers. Sending values less than 64 will disable the accent, and values greater than 63 will enable it. The CC number can be changed either in the MIDI Settings menu on the device, or via the App.
More to come, until we run out of program space on the CPU!
